Xiaomi Mijia High-Speed Water Ion Hair Dryer Pro: availability and price

Xiaomi has unveiled the new Mijia High-Speed Water Ion Hair Dryer Pro (catalogue number GSHS4PLX) on the Youpin platform. Pre-orders open tomorrow, with the new model priced at 799 yuan (120 dollars).

Finish, colours and controls

The hair dryer will be available in three colours. Its body features a metallic pearlescent coating, while operation is handled via a colour display and an aluminium temperature dial positioned on the handle.

Dual scalp protection with a TOF sensor and Water Ion technology

The headline feature is a dual scalp-protection function. To achieve this, Xiaomi has fitted a TOF sensor that tracks the distance to the head in real time and automatically adjusts the airflow temperature within a safe range. In addition, the device uses Water Ion technology which, according to the company, helps to improve the scalp’s micro-environment. Power output is rated at 1600 W.
