Xiaomi Mijia Electric Shaver Pro Set launches on Youpin for 699 yuan (about $100)

Xiaomi has introduced the new Mijia Electric Shaver Pro Set on the Youpin platform. The kit is listed at 699 yuan, which works out at about $100.

The package contains the shaver itself, a multifunction wireless charging dock, a sideburn trimmer and a nose-hair trimmer, along with a presentation gift box.

Charging base, shaving system and smart control

The wireless charging station combines three functions: charging, sterilisation and air drying. When you place the shaver onto the base, an automatic sterilisation programme starts on its own.

On the shaver, Xiaomi uses a built-in double-ring foil with corrugated blades, designed to cover a larger area than typical foils. The stainless-steel dual rings move in intersecting back-and-forth motions to catch and cut hairs.

The shaver is driven by a high-speed motor delivering around 5 million cuts per minute. An intelligent chip performs roughly 100 measurements per second in real time, adjusting speed automatically depending on beard density. There’s also a 360° omni-directional floating head that follows the contours of the face, while a built-in smart pressure sensor monitors how hard you press to help prevent skin irritation.

The device additionally features a colour display showing the operating mode and remaining charge. Charging is handled via USB-C, and battery life is claimed to reach 95 days between charges.
